2015 was a monumental year for Nepal. For the first time in history, a constitution was passed by an assembly of people's representatives and Nepal elected its first woman president, Bidya Bhandari. It was also the year that a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck on April 25, killing nearly 9,000 people and destroying over 500,000 buildings.
